Studio Duo
Challenge
Sony approached us to help promote the launch of their new DUO laptop/tablet hybrid via Social Media.
Approach
During the initial concept development, we considered creating art using this new product. This led us to the idea of a live content event using
a team of illustrators.
After an initial teaser campaign, we invited Facebook and Twitter users to send us their ideas for
a 'DUO' (a mash-up image of two things in one illustration) using the hashtag #StudioDUO. These 'DUO's' were then created in real time by our team of illustrators: David Shrigley, Kate Moross, Graffiti Kings and Alex Mathers, in our custom built studio in central London.
The resulting 'DUO' illustrations were then sent back to the ideas originator via social media. This spurred on more people to get involved across
a number of the European markets. A film of the event was also shot and edited in one day and used to amplify the launch.
